Glock Slide Lock Spring does need replacement on occasion. A formed blade spring on most Glock models. It can be prone to embrittlement over time and use. The Glock Slide Lock spring  Gen 5 models is a small coil spring.  This is the same arrangement as the G 42 and G43 G43X and G48. All the slimline Glocks use the same spring. The slide lock is sometimes referred to as the take down lever in the USA
