All Glock magazines are composite steel and polymer fabrications. A steel insert – toughened and hardened – moulded into a polymer case. As a result, this internal steel insert protects the magazine lips from damage and deformation. The entire magazine assembly is extremely durable.
Polymer 2 is more resilient than steel. Consequently, this composite magazine assembly can withstand a lot of abuse and still continue functioning.
Reliable Ammunition Feeding:
Glock magazine springs use special and expertly heat-treated steels. As a consequence of the accurately manufactured spring and follower, the magazine feeds ammunition with total reliability. Gen 5 mags vs Gen 3/4 mags.
The gen 5 mags have an orange follower. As a result, it is easier to view the witness holes. In addition, the Gen 5 mags have a new magazine floor plate pictured below.
