What is MOA?

MOA or minutes of angle is a convenient measure for shooters although we must point out it is not SI but an Imperial measurement. 1 MOA subtends to approximately 1 inch at 100 yards.

3.5 MOA or 7 MOA

A larger and brighter red dot makes for faster target acquisition. A consequence of a large dot is that it can hide part of the target.  When shooting precisely this can be a problem.

On the other hand  a smaller dot allows for more precise but slower aiming.

The Docter Red Dot sight with a 7 MOA  dot is small enough not to obscure most targets, and large enough for most shooters  to quickly acquire a proper sight picture. The 3.5 MOA Doctor Reflex Gunsight would be the choice for accurate target shooting.

Cerakote for superb abrasion and corrosion resistance.

DOCTER selected Cerakote coating to protect their Docter C sights. Cerakote is known as the ultimate firearm protection coating and for good reason. The coating system is based on ceramics technology. Consequently it offers outstanding corrosion and abrasion resistance. In addition, the extremely hard Cerakote finish provides long-term durability that has been tested to be up to 60% more resistant than Teflon coatings.

Adjusting the Docter Red Dot Sight

The Docter C Sight has easy to use elevation adjustments on the top rear of the sight. Sensibly, windage adjustments are on the right side of the sight. The adjustment screws are flat-head, and DOCTER includes a screwdriver for adjustments. The adjustments make around .25 MOA adjustments per click. Finally there is a circular  guide that  clearly marks movement.

Doctor or Docter Who?

Docter is in fact the correct spelling. Docter is a division of the German Noblex group. As a result of close co-operation between sister group members Carl Zeis and Jenna Optik expect the finest red dot sights.  “Small, light, precise and fast” is the Docter Red Dot Sight design brief.

Piracy Warning for Docter Red Dot Sight

The Glock Shop would like to issue a piracy warning advisory. Doctor Sights often appear on auction sights such a eBay and are in fact knock offs made in China. The original sight has lenses made by Zeiss and the build quality of the original is robust so beware of fakes. The Glock Shop is happy to prove provenance of our products to any customer who may have doubts about the origin of our original “Made in Germany” sights.
