Description

Glock Slide Lock Spring does need replacement on occasion. A formed blade spring on most Glock models. It can be prone to embrittlement over time and use.

The Glock Slide Lock spring Gen 5 models is a small coil spring. This is the same arrangement as the G 42 and G43 G43X and G48. All the slimline Glocks use the same spring.

In the USA, people sometimes refer to the slide lock as the take-down lever.

The Gen5/Gen6 slide lock spring does not embrittle easily. Gunsmiths normally replace it only after losing it during stripping of the pistol.
