Description
Glock 34 Gen 3 RTF2
The Glock 34 Gen 3 RTF2 is the successor of the G 34 ntroduced in 1998 as a competition ready, 9mm pistol. Requests for a grip with more traction the rough textured frame (RTF) frame texture triggered this development. The Glock 34 was designed to be the same overall length as the Government Model 1911 pistol. As a result the main difference between the full size Glock 17 and the long slide G 34 is a 5.32″ barrel for the 34 (0.82″ longer than the 17) with corresponding longer slide. Extended magazine and slide releases and a reduced trigger pull. Naturally the longer slide results in a longer sight radius. This results in a slightly better balance of the pistol. The consequence being in quicker recovery between shots. As a consequence of these desirable attributes for tactical, Glock refers to this model as the “Tactical/ Practical.”
