Description
The GLOCK 34 Gen 4 MOS Configuration is identical to the G17 Gen 4 except for the machined slide that accepts a scope. If you own a MOS and decide you don’t want optics, you don’t have to use optics – just put on the cover plate and use with the standard iron sights.
As successor of the G34 introduced in 1998 the Glock 34 Gen4 MOS is a competition ready 9mm pistol. Designed to be the same overall length as the Government Model 1911 pistol the main differences between the full size Model G17 and the long slide Model G34 include a 5.32″ barrel for the 34 (0.82″ longer than the 17) with corresponding longer slide, extended magazine and slide releases and a reduced trigger pull. Naturally the longer slide results in a longer sight radius and a slightly better balance of the pistol, resulting in quicker recovery between shots. These are also attributes that are desirable for tactical use as well and Glock refers to this model as the “Tactical/ Practical.”
Like all 4th Generation Glock’s, the Glock 34 MOS has the modular back strap design that lets you instantly customize its grip to adapt to an individual shooter’s hand size. The surface of the frame employs the new rough textured technology. Internally, the new Glock dual recoil spring assembly substantially increases the life of the system. A reversible enlarged magazine catch, changeable in seconds, accommodates left or right-handed shooters.

Glock 34 Gen 4 MOS Rough Textured Frame Surface
This more aggressive, non-slip surface provides a more secure grip and better traction. For quite a while, some Glock owners had been getting custom texturing on their pistols to get what is now standard on Gen4 models
Glock 34 Gen 4 MOS Replaceable Backstraps
The Gen4 has two insert options, medium and large or you can leave the pistol as is, in small or what Glock refer to as  short frame configuration.
Glock 34 Gen 4 MOS Magazine Release Catch
The enlarged mag release catch is now easily reversible to either the left or right side.
Glock 34 Gen 4 MOS Magazine
The Gen4 Magazine now features a pair of notches that will allow positive operation with all types of existing mag catches.
